But seme still humiliates and scolds liqing every chance he gets. Liqing meets a doctor, who is his childhood friend, for his illness. Seme blames the uke for cheating. A prince from another country comes to this country and falls in love with liqing. He asks the emperor permission to marry liqing without knowing liqing's already married. Seme gets arbitrarily angry and physically hit liqing.

The biggest climax-

That slave brought by seme is actually a prince of the country seme's army defeated. He holds a grudge against seme, poisons the king and frames liqing. Seme investigates to see if liqing has any reason to do it, finds out liqing is actually the son of the former king if this nation (the king who was defeated by seme's father, the ML of the 1st season). He assumes liqing wanted to avenge his dead father and did it. liqing gets brutally tortured to the point where he becomes blind, his hands become crippled (Liqing is a scholar, so his eyes and hands are his most important asset). Even seme personally tortures him (brands a flaming iron stamp on his skin, which is like a lifelong criminal mark). I'm not gonna say anymore of it cause it makes me want to be isekai-d into the manhua and beat that mf's a** =_=

Then it's proven later that liqing's innocent, liqing leaves him and jerk seme wants back bla bla bla.

btw, That prince from another country was SUCH A GEM. He supported liqing all this time and proposed to take him away many times. IDK WHY AUTHOR HAS TO MAKE LIQING STICK TO THIS TOXIC SEME AND NOT RECIPROCATE THAT CINNAMON ROLL PRINCE :''''') I guess love can't be forced, but it's so unfairrrrr.
