@Noriko i have two theories in mind:
his power as shown in this chapter now is either...
1) his "other" power, that wasn't introduced to us before and is another secret about him that got revealed in this chapter

or

2) with mind controlling comes controlling in general, meaning he cannot only control minds, but also fire/water/objects (basically things that were shown in this chapter)

but i am kinda confused as well 😅

@seren I am unsure as well however one line sticks out when the dad said "his powers are always sealed except for experiments" so what if they sealed his powers except mind control, and never unsealed them before they died and he escaped. Just a theory, we will find out more as the story continues.

@._. can't he make other espers aswell? I'm sure he made his friend into one?

@Suckle.z.Olive yes, he did. The friend he lived with that he stole the guys moms attention. However the guy doesn't use his powers nor is he near corruption because his powers come from our main character with mind control, and when he uses them they affect the other guy rather than himself because he's a "made" esper not a "born" esper. So the creator is the one who suffers the drawbacks.
