@Taniwa Dear, I am well aware of all "morally grey" characters you are talking about. But attributing every toxic quality the characters have to being morally grey and thinking that they whatever they are doing is fine is not something I find any good in. Although I think Heiner deserves a chance to understand annette and himself again, it doesn't mean using his power to bring her to the rear, since she was in a place where "she could die". His behaviour pis*** me off a lot since he knew what he was doing to Annette and to their relationship yet he keeps on doing so ignoring all the warning bells. Character complications are fine and sometime I enjoy reading it myself but if you ever read Heiner's thoughts before commenting here you should know that he pined all his goals and happiness on a person who did not even know him properly and thought "oh my g**, she looks like an angel who has come to save and understand me' yet when she did not match his expectations and things turned out to be more "complicated", he decided to take revenge and turn his back on the person who was obviously facing the world the first time after her father's death.
Therefore even though his immaturity is "real" and all I still find it distasteful that he still has all power to control her life after getting all the kinds of revenge he dreamed off because of his twisted idea of pulling her down with him to he**.
And for goodness's sake your thoughts are not the only one aligning with this story unless you are the author, so stop looking down people's opinion about Heiner and think that you are the only one who could understand the true essence of the story. A lot of people do but we still like to vent our frustations even if we all know where this story will be going.
