@eve You have to understand that toxicity in the first season was deliberately exaggerated by the author, this is because her intent is to focus (in the future) on the act of “redemption.” Of course, many of the actions done by JK may be difficult to digest, but they were exposed by the author precisely to make JK a huge red flag so that his redemption arc will be more impactful for the reader. Also, I don't know if the author is aware of this, but in her story we have interesting psychological dynamics, such as attachment and reward, or lack of empathy toward certain issues. In addition, JK is still a cryptic and intriguing character, but what we learned from his behavior is that his iron pride pushes him to want to dominate over the other, and above all, pushes him to consider feelings and emotions as weaknesses that make him a loser and weak.
