ah honestly old daphne was horrid, nothing justifies her old behaviour and honestly given the way the dukedom still treated her, heros is lowkey a saint for putting up with all of that, but a sh** parent to the others tho ig him being cursed forced him to take care of them all with just money

@kali ok no thats a stupid way of thinking about things. shes legit just a kid who realised she's been given birth to just for her to die not even few years later. and since she was born her father has been emotionless so he didnt care about her. she's acting like a kid because she is a kid, its her way of venting at the world
@pandoee

i understand your perspective but I sorta disagree, just because her scenario is very unfair doesn't give her a free pass to be a complete demon and hurt everyone in her periphery, it's different if it were just tantrums but physically hurting people, destroying their jobs and livelihoods, straight up bullying and harrassing other children, to the point of traumatizing them is just a few of the things she did.

She was old enough to realize that treating others in such a way was vile and she should've been disciplined ages ago. Heros spoiled the sh** out of her, by letting her do all this without consequences because he felt guilty for her terminal illness, but by doing so he failed to protect his other kids and be a parent. So yeah, it's not entirely his fault either since he was cursed to lose his emotions. Considering, he was devoted prior to the curse which kinda shows that he had the potential to be a good father. It's still something he needs to take long strides to repair, since he isn't blameless either regardless of the unfairness of his situation too.

@kali She's just 5 yrs.  With no proper guidance or family love and all u have is power and can do anything no one can stop u.    What's she did is based on circumstances. U can't except a 5 yr kid to act like adult?

If she was guided properly maybe she could have been better character
@Rudra And i 100% agree with you, obviously I don't think she's the devil incarnate, but she is far from a saint too. She probably lashed out, saw that no one did anything about it, and continued to vent out her frustrations through abusing others, but a child of that age also learns from the others around her, including her family; she would've been aware of good behaviour.

This is failed parenting, I guess they assumed not disciplining her was their way of atoning for her terminal illness. But that's the thing, with great power comes greater responsibility, her actions are also her fault. We might sit back and analyze her reasons, but for the lives she ruined, they 100% could not care less.

@kali accidentally clicked the like button, whooops.. umm... she was under 5 years old when she said stuff like that... for the entire kingdom to hate on a 5 year old on her deathbed is crazy... it's not like she was strong anyways and her father neglected her, her health was sh**, she never got any attention and never had a parental figure, no sh** she turned into that. Nothing she did was her fault and they resent her to death for minor crimes. Like dawg shes 5 and under
@kali DUDE... SHE WAS 5 AND UDNER YOU THINK A 5 YEAR OLD WOULD UNDERSTAND SOMETHING LIKE THAT? YK THE BRAIN IS FULLY DEVELOPED AT 25-30 RIGHT???
@Kurii lol I think my words came off as too harsh, I understand why she is that way, a victim of failed parenting but she def had a nanny/people with good behavior as examples, regardless when she saw no consequences she only strengthened her assault, so psychologically speaking her circumstances are at fault and her actions make sense.

it's easy for you and me to be objective about the situation and understanding, however, for the people she practically tortured, it's normal to hold resentment and so their distrust/fear/anger against her actions in the story are also understandable.

altogether it's a horrible situation with everyone as victims, but we can't be generous in understanding one side while refusing to acknowledge the circumstances of the others.
@kali   this is the type situation that is just black and white tbh.
