Spoiler!
From here on in the story, he's no longer a distinct "enemy" and as the story continues, he genuinely desires to be an ally of Rimuru.  You'll later find out more regarding the "why" he thought he had to fight and kill Rimuru.  It's pretty pathetic and it's mostly due to him being such a high level genius IQ that he's fully lost himself up his own a**.

Like most characters in this story, the defeated either join Rimuru's side or they are killed off.  You can consider this moment to be Yuki's "defeat".
@Abiss The Monga's falling both versions of the story. It's following the light novel and it's falling. The Web novel whether he becomes re main villain.Like he did in webnovel that's up to the author But after the day there's lots of things you could say that's taken from both stories. So in this sense, it's too early to tell.I didn't like him as the final boss in the Web memo, but I didn't like how he was basically sideline in the light novel some i hoping they do him justice and make him a good villain

You know it's a lost cause though? It'd be like wanting Yamcha to become a good villain in dbz at this point. Like out of nowhere, you retcon most of your story to revolve around a previously introduced and developped character to portray it in a totally different and unfit way. (starting with his very character design) But it's only the tip of the iceberg, because this 'little' change have tons of cascading ramifications in the whole story. Plot twists of this scale require so much work and preparation, ain't no way the author of tensura can pull that off let's be real. This ain't death note or code geass.

No matter how author tries to twist it, it can only feel dumb. Well, the premise of Yuuki's character in this world setting feels dumb to begin with, but hey. Don't ask question, enjoy product.

@TotallyAbsurd True both the webnovel and light novel had wasted potential in different to characters Yuki is just one of those Wasted potential
