In my opinion I think it's better if there's no romance, and here's why. It's just that this manga to me is more suitable for what it already was aqua wanting revenge and that's it. The romance just ruins the plot. So for me aqua x no one. this is just my personal opinion!!!!
@zz i think i get where your coming from and i think id be interesting that way as well but i think the romance give it the extra drama and stuffim going for aqua x kana but i did like your opinion
@jinijjgrj Ah yes I also like romance but that really depends on the storyline sometimes I don't like it sometimes I do. For now I'm kind of starting to like the same ship aqua x kana but I still feel like romance isn't for this type of genre
@zz It doesn't feel that romance-y when it's this one-sided honestly. Aqua has literally admitted to just using some of them/seeing them as tools on a number of occasions too, unlike typical romance in manga where even if the MC's a blockhead with 0 romantic feelings they still usually have nothing but positive feelings and relationships for the established romantic interests. All this is to say I think the "romance" actually services the plot quite well in that it's also dark since it's just abuse and control by Aqua at the moment, it fits the theme of lies are love and such, romance is kinda' inevitable when that's one of the core themes of your show you know.
@zz If you think this manga is just about revenge, the you are not seeing the full picture... Aqua's character arc most likely is about him realising he can not center his life around revenge, that there are other things more valuable than clinging to the past or to hatred... He needs to find the culprit to find closure, but at the same time, his life has to open up to more positive feelings and treasuring the relationships he has with people who are alive... Therefore, him falling in love could help the narrative... Of course, it doesn't have to be romantic love, the character development could focus on friendship or even his relationship with his sister.
@KK I never said it only focused on revenge, I only said that I don't like romance in this type of manga 💀 And I already said that this is just my opinion no need to hate or push your opinion on me if you like then you do good for you I just don't
