All of the people saying this is Bipolar's ... it is not. Do a simple Google search and educate yourself before you start spreading misinformation in the comments that a 15 year old can read and go along with. Bipolar's is not a personality disorder (which is what you're mostly thinking) but a state between mania (hyperactivity) and depression.
Also, it doesn't have to be a psychiatric condition. Sometimes people bury down emotions and project the complete opposite, which is what the portrayal of the mother was about, and its what Damian does to begin with. "It runs in the family," which I think its the pun/theme the author wants to show.

Idk Like I'm somewhat sure her mother was somehow forced or something but like she is a mother at the end of the day. But I will be really sad if Damian suffers more,I mean he has soo much to deal with already
@Yatogami The auhtor's intentions is what is moving the plot forward. But the basic trope is that Damian comes from a family of the upper class, from which high expectations are sought for, and "weakness" should not be shown. The character flaw in that is that identifying your emotions can make you grow as an individual, and it's what hampers character development if you don't acknowledge it. And this is what is happening to Damian, and what eventually has made him grow throughout the series.
When Damian shows his emotions to his father, Anya, etc, he makes a greater and lasting bond and learns that it's ok to do this. Holding back is what causes relationships to break and for someone to feel isolated.
