@Kat probably like a weapon's ego trying to manipulate a person to wield it to do the things they meant to do. Or it might be true that blonde's father is a necromancer and he's his successor but i doubt his father requested a help from the staff because his father wanted to dispose the staff in the early chapters meaning he doesn't want his son inherit it. We'll know in the next chapters for sure
