 from what i remember he was one of the children with the virus disease I don't remember correctly which one. I think syfilis. It was orphanage with monks who brought them in because they were dying. Because of his mother who was sick while pregnant he was sick. He ofc would be dead if not for the mc. Because of illness he lost his eye but he had great internal energy so mc sent him to wudang. There was some more lore to it but I can't remember correctly  

I remember something like that but I read that a long time ago so it can be inaccurate or I could mix up characters :))
