i rly dont want to be a hater but objectively this story is really poorly written imo. based on basic known emotional responses to actions it just makes no sense? the emperor did nothing, rly nothing that would made up for what he has done to rhe mc. we r talking about stuff like killing his mother, raiding his village, non sexual violence to a point where a snaps his bones, sexual violence & ra**, kidnapping, imprisonment PLUS he tried to kill him & the man he said he loves/wants (his brother) etc. like yea emperor daddy is freaking da** hot but just because he showed a little gentleness by NOT HURTING HIM (helloho?) or giving gifts etc. it still makes no sense mc falls for him. the developement and insight of mcs mind is rly not well written. he wants to flee on at all costs from his rapist, his loverboy frees him but ultimately he leaves him again for the black flag because of WHAT? stockholm syndrom at its finest? man, i rly wished there was a better/more sense makong plot for this story. :< sry for the rant, its just frustrating
