Comment on ChapterCrossing the Line - Chapter 118

I wonder how many of the commentators have actually experience of coming out.... the audacity of everyone blaming someone for not wanting to come out.... and all you guys like to read bl.

I would think that liking bl makes you more aware of the real problem coming out and being qu*** can cause to people in our society! Depending on which country and which community you live in it actually can be very dangerous...

violence against gay people grew immensely the last years in Germany, and Germany is a western, European and non religiously binding country!!! (I use Germany as an example because I recently watched a documentary on arte-tv about retirement homes for gay people in France and Germany and I have been shocked by the statistics!)

seriously stop blaming people for not wanting to come out. You stop being an ally by doing that!

@Kokoro I agree on your point about different countries' handling LGBTQ+ related issues with different degree of severity and the impact it has on those directly affected. Still, I've a different perspective on which approach might prove as more effective for LGBTQ+ people to cope with their respective societies' "homophoby & Co". In this regard I like Jaehyuk's mindset: he doesn't give a sh** about who might think what about him being gay or what-not. And that's the best way to handle all the assh**** of this world - their opinion is worth nothing, and this message needs to be delivered to them!
As not personally affected by Garam's fears of coming out, I might not wholly understand him, but: what he suffered in his past surely isn't much different from being mobbed - and here I have a first-hand experience (in Germany, by the way). Hiding in a corner doesn't fix anything. To change smth, Garam needs to start with himself: he needs to change his own perception of being gay, stop thinking too much about how others might view him. 'Cause, really, the majority wouldn't care at all, and a handful of assh**** can't be too dificult to handle - his ex Garam could handle on his own just fine. So, it's not about changing others, but one's own precious self. And that's what Jaehuyk is trying to do: help Garam this way.
@Kokoro Yes, the BL highlights the specific problems LGBTQ+ bumps into, so the readers can gain a better understanding of what it feels like to be the one affected. Still, it's not different from other discrimination, be it nationality, religion, migration background related, etc. It feels equally shi*** to be affected by the bad treatment of one's surrounding: it's never fair, 'cause nothing and never justifies discrimination. No one is choosing their sexual orientation - the same as nationality. It's all the same: when affected, one has to cope with it.
@Kokoro imo jaekhyun doesnt want garam to come out. He just wants him to be serious about him. Garam doenst tell anything to jaekhyun most of the time and then keeps on making decisions for the relationship on his own. He doesnt explain himself. And thats the only issue here.
@hehaiswhaha ....you read the same story. He's literally pressuring him to come out or to get outed by his behavior. Zero doubt about that. Tatiana has a completely different opinion on jaekhyun compared to me, but still sees that he wants to come out, while garam wants to be closeted.
I get people having different opinions on if it's a good idea or not and if their reasoning behind it is understandable or no... but being completely blind to the facts is a new one.
@Kokoro omg are you really that dumb? if garam seriously talked to jk about it your deadass really thinks that jk wouldnt understand? if yes, then please read three little pigs story book to enhance your comprehension skills
@hehaiswhaha Chapter 115 - Jaehyuk literally asked Garam whether he chooses to continue dating without hiding their relationship or put an end to it all. So, for Garam it is indeed about coming-out what he fears. For Jaehyuk it's about their relationship, thus he tries to help Garam with his fears - that's my perception of the story, at least. So, all the aspects brought up by the readers are present and valid.
No need to offend anyone here in the chat - that only indicates your own miserable level, never that of others.
