Comment on ChapterMy Girlfriend’s Not Here Today - Chapter 15

Infidelity sucks, but it's interesting isn't it? I love the last couple of pages, it puts a lot into perspective.

Nanase wants everything to go back to how it was, Yuni is absolutely terrified of it. After all, nanase gets everything she wants (club and a girlfriend) without ever seeing the consequences of it, the loneliness and neglect yuni feels. The relationship is so imbalanced I don't think nanase even really understands what she stands to lose (but I guess we'll see next chapter lol)

Fuuko's the only one who actually stands to win big. Yuni loses something either way, since the cheating was the only way she was offsetting the imbalance in the relationship. Nanase is where her feelings are, Fuuko is where her longings can go (perfectly valid ones btw, longings to be acknowledged, equally regarded as a gf, and expectations to be treated a certain way).

That's my piece, see y'all next chapter

Even I thought Nanase was going to check up on Yuni, despite them having a fight because she "loves her" but nope she didn't even try. I mean you said that after forgetting your anniversary that you were going to put in more effort, well where's it at??? pepe sticker

Yes I agree. Her mishandling the situation this chapter has nothing to do with her voiced reason. She says she loves her girlfriend and volleyball and her best friend, but non of those things coalesce. It's never been about volleyball (e.g their anniversary, she could have easy made it both to practice and yuni but she forgets yuni, again at the festival, she convenient forgets she's asked yuni on a date and never once considered asking yuni if bringing her teammates was fine).

Namaste is fundamentally selfish (either she doesn't see yuni's struggle or she's elected to ignore it), which is funny because that word gets directed at yuni a lot, both narratively and by viewers.

There's never an excuse for infedility, especially in this situation. Just breakup and move on, staying in the relationship and cheating is being far more selfish then your partner neglecting you by a mile

I'm not here to make the argument about which  of cheating or neglect is more hurtful. I won't impose my own perceptions of pain, especially when it's not me under such circumstances.

On nanase being selfish, this is merely an observation that many of her decisions benefit herself alone. Example: 1 she ditches yuni in favour of club on their anniversary, 2 the festival date where she invites her teammates to hide the fact that it was supposed to be a date, 3 when she asks yuni to cheer her on in Osaka without considering how difficult it may be. Mind that in all of these instances fuuko manages to insert herself, it's exactly WHY she can insert herself.

I won't argue when or if cheating is excusable, forgiveable or otherwise. Everyone can make their own decisions on it.

@Nat holy F your making ssoooo many excuses way you think yuni shod F some one else because she feel neglected!!!! WHAT A PATHETIC EXCUSE! NO ONE but other cheaters will try to make that logic stand!!! CHEATING is WORST that being neglected!!!

@Blo*** Raven I don't know why people always go on their moral high horse and attack people they don't even know. I gave my analysis as to how I saw the narrative. I gave clear points and even sited examples. I didn't ask you or anybody to take sides. I'm very open to a different perspective as long as you can explain and be reasonable within this given narrative but you have not offered any.

I said before that I wouldn't make the case of whichever is worse, and I've stuck to it. If you think cheating is worse than neglect in all aspects then you be you. Have your opinion, but if you're going to attack me then at least offer up some justification.
