I hate saying this, but this story could have been so interesting if only the manhwa artist knew how to properly pace the plot and character interactions. It feels so abrupt... you can really feel that it's just an action sci-fi and po** manhwa smashed together instead of it working in harmony... Normally I'd be fine with that but here it feels forced because one half of the story is so serious while the other is just...random po**. I don't feel much character chemistry, and I guess that's because our main characters don't really feel like people...I hardly know anything about them, which makes the 'plot' feel pointless. It's a shame because the artist is great at the few fight sequences they've drawn. 😭
I'd love to hear other people's thoughts on this, since it's an issue in most BL attempting to write serious stories. Few seem to succeed (King Maker is a good example of one well done) and it sucks that so many yaoi/BL have so much potential...
