Because they are lovers and have a son together she is much older but the thing is she asked him to wipe her memories because she wanted to forget an unfortunate event thus he transferred her consciousness to wanwan's body the real ye wanwan died when she was studying abroad so she has but wanwan's memories she never told ml about their son so now the son,his grandparents and uncle are looking for FL but since her appearance have changed no one will recognize her when they will meet fl and ml will even play fake parents to their own son without knowing it is their son so everyone she knows is wanwan's entourage and not hers thus ml is protecting her from what she is running away that is why he is so obsessed and possessive
