I don't get why she's still connecting the misaligned soul's treatment to how pietro is smiling at her now... Yes they were unloved and seen as a nuisance when their souls were still switched and pietro might have been kind of annoyed then. But their souls are now in the right body, they are no longer unloved nor seen as a nuisance... So that smile and insistent clinging isn't fake per se,,, well his smile is kinda fake but not for the reason she's thinking now 🤔 her existence is no longer being rejected and people now acknowledging and taking interest in her is the perfect normal response

@Dandelion he wasn't faking his kindness, although he is essentially faking everything else and is only ever showing one side of himself - his kind self. One can be kind and still be annoyed or uncomfortable. He wasn't bullying, belittling nor have ill-disposed feelings for her but he also wants to please everybody else so he doesn't take her side either.

His people pleasing personality is deeply rooted to his sickly mother who becomes happy and lively when her son helps others. He has been going out of his way to be kind since childhood and it has become a habit... but this also made him seem completely apathetic.
He isn't that bad of a person. When mc was pulling the hair of this girl he went to the party with.... to avoid others displeasure towards him he opted to quietly leave. Riddled with guilt he comes running back but girlies were already gone.
@Chamcham People have many faces , public , private and persuasive. They'll flick between depending on the situation and how good they are at hiding behind the facade, but it's in moments when it slips and you see what's underneath that are the most impactful.That one moment where he killed without blinking, smile on his face, she knows that is the truth, because a 'normal' person' doesn't wouldn't have that disconnect and you can't reconcile it. He's acting the part of a good person is like instructions from a book, once you see it you can't stop seeing it, or ignore it. The other dukes sons are violent as well but they make more human sense because of the emotions coupled with their actions. This guy's violence was eerily devoid of any real emotion behind it.

He doesn't he still see her as the same camilla as back then and what he's doing is kinda fake because if what I know he never really went directly to her to the past camilla but now suddenly she changed he goes to her the main reason is probably because she's not attract to him anymore and I'm 100% sure his forcing himself to her because she doesn't like him suddenly that's smile might not be fake but what he did was and the fl look like she knows his really nature so if she say he's fake the there's nothing else to do to listen to it
@Chamcham what she is saying is basically that she knows that everyone should have shown disdain to the old soul but he didn't that means he is a fake person.
Real kindness would be letting her down kindly and respectfully instead of feeding her lies like "I already said yes to someone else". He feed her delusion that he is interested in her. And that to a person who was unloved and disdained without any reason.
