Somebody explain exactly what happened here regarding ignis cause I didn't understand sh**

So like this ignis (who is a spirit)fell in love with elisa and wanted to be human,but elisa went wild after leon died in her past life,therefore to save her ignis tried to consume leon soul but was unable to do so bcos he(leon) is has strong has his mother,instead leon soul almost consume ignis,but with the little ignis had he was able to reverse the time giving elisa another chance but in this life someone else is ignis contractor and is causing advoc and elisa needs to find the person and defeat the contractor to free ignis
