Reading this again and realizing iron is the reason he couldn't extract the ice elf. Its body was in too bad of a condition to be extracted because he hit it those few extra times lmao.

Interesting take but nope, the condition of the body has nothing to do with his ability to extract a shadow, the ice elf was just WAY stronger than him, he needed Igris and Iron helping him out on this one.... The only reason he got Igris back then was because Igris chose to become his shadow (that was Igris's purpose from the beginning)....
Also, remember the skeleton of that huge dragon in later chapters, there was no body but he still got the full shadow (even if it was just for a short while😅)
He can't extract shadows from beings that were way stronger than him....
