"If Abel dies, I lose my ONLY proof of innocence." Vinchen, 2025
Guys, I've been lost for a few chapters, I think I'm going crazy. Maybe I'm mentally retarded, or maybe the author is a genius and I'm not smart enough to understand his genius. But what the he** is the connection between being able to interrogate Carmen and getting Vinchen out of prison? His mother just has to use her power over Vinchen to publicly exonerate him. As for Abel, they can just threaten Carmen with banishing him from the family if he doesn't give up the antidote or the type of poison he used, and since he's not stupid (normally), he'll collaborate since his fuc**** goal in doing all this is to succeed his father, and again, there's a problem: how can he hope to succeed his father when EVERYONE KNOWS HE'S EVIL AND WE HAVE THE PROOF???? This shi*** plot just makes no sense.
The father just said and tested it in the previous chapter that threatening him doesnt work so even if they used the eyes to expose everything Able would still die of the poison since he wouldnt give that up so they are between a rock and a hard place trying to figure out the poison before Able dies or Vincent gets executed since no parent will immediately sacrifice one of their kids for the other (Honestly he knows his mother's powers do you think he would do this and then go "Ah dang ya caught me guys. here's the poison time to pretend this never happened")
Honestly I think the plan is/was (Dont know for sure but this is just a guess) Poison Able for leverage Frame Vincent since he is getting too strong too fast Get him isolated in a cage where he cant use his power so the pirate queen can kill him ahead of the execution date incase the family decided to pick Vincent over Able and expose everything Now that Vincent is dead exposing Carmen wouldnt save anyone so now it becomes a "Make me the head/successor or your other son dies too" situation Plus depending on how much they still care about Carmen as parents after this it becomes a is revenge worth basically 3 of their sons dying in a day type thing.
@lvlHive You don't understand. The plot here is Carmen trying to defame Vinchen to get rid of him and become the successor. However, this tactic only works if no one can prove that it's Carmen. But currently, the father, the mother, Abel, Vinchen know that Carmen is the culprit. And so, a question arises, why poison Abel and defame Vinchen when he knows that his mother is a lie detector AND FURTHERMORE his father knew he was the culprit without even questioning him. It's completely stupid, what does he gain from this? In the worst case scenario, Abel dies. Okay, so what? The father will tell him "Bravo, Son, I name you the successor even if you killed Abel"? In fact, all this would have made sense if he just wanted to get rid of Abel and Vinchen for pure sadistic pleasure, except that his goal is to succeed his father. If he wanted to use such means, he should have just found a way to kill his father and mother directly.
@Darkyz thats unilateral thinking. Carmen has a whole team behind him. They will be used to pressure the family head to promote him as successor when Vinchen is defamed. They are willing to play dirty to get him installed. If fam head doesnt promote him, Carmen can start a war based on 'I'm fighting for my rightful position'.
