@Oui_wissal well, I can tell you that Chinese culture is very vast. I did see/read  some articles about the positivity/negativity thing, but It may not be the main focus. I think something got lost in translation.(Maybe only in the cultures I've personally experienced? But I'll just tell you the general thing) 

Ying refers to something passive, and yang refers to something that is active. These are moreso linked to traits, and are seen as both bad or good if there is too much. 
 I think painting something as strictly negative gives a bad connotationand taichi/wuji is actually also quite prevalent in it's understanding. One is "light" the other is "dark" essentially heat and coldness. What's more important is actually not to paint either one as bad, but to focus on the fact that too much of both isn't good for you.
