@DarkShadow First, quantity does not mean quality. Having a larger population only means a higher chance of producing powerful Awakened, but probability is not something you can rely on. If you've ever played a game with RNG, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Second, a larger population does not necessarily mean more resources. Some countries may be small in size yet possess vast amounts of valuable natural resources. Lastly, and closely related to the previous point, knowing how to use and manage those resources is a decisive factor. A resource-rich nation that fails to develop or exploit its assets effectively can still fall behind a country with fewer resources but better management and strategy.

@inhuman I'm talking about when the spiritual power descends and the strength of the beasts starts to increase, as you have said resource management I think it's valid but after a period of time but in the immediate danger of beast tide one cannot take action without awakened beings and after sometime those resource rich land will become infested with beasts cause US doesn't have the manpower to handle all of its land. But if you were talking about US will have better quality of awakened despite being less in population just because they are American is beyond me.
