Spoiler!
Grandfather tells uncle and dad that there is no better marriage match for Yeon than Namgoong Ryuchung. He says Myung's marriage is already settled, so his biggest wish now is to see Yeon married before he dies. He believes the Namgoong family is the best choice because they are powerful, respected, and they truly value Yeon. He also knows Yeon has had a difficult life after losing her mother and wants her to have a happy and secure future. Yeon's father, is not against the idea, but he feels Yeon is still too young. He asks if they really need to decide her marriage so quickly. Grandfather asks if he dislikes Ryuchung, but Euigang says that is not the issue. He believes the most important thing is what Yeon wants. When asked if Yeon hates Ryuchung, Euigang admits she does not, but she also does not seem to have romantic feelings for him yet. Grandfather then explains why he is interfering. He says his own marriage was unhappy, so he always tried to stay out of his sons' marriages and respected their choices. However, Yeon's situation is different. Since Euigang suddenly brought Yeon home and accepted her as his daughter, Grandfather feels responsible for making sure she has a better life. Grandfather becomes emotional and says he will not let Yeon end up living alone like her father. Euigang says that is a big assumption, but the Grandfather replies that Yeon has grown into a kind and capable young woman despite being raised by a single father. Euimook also agrees with the Grandfather and tells Euigang to listen, saying that while Euigang may be fine living alone, Yeon deserves the chance to have a happy family. They also discuss Ryuchung's position in the Namgoong clan. Since he is the only direct heir, it is natural that his family wants him to marry early. Grandfather points out that Euigang already seemed to know this and had probably been thinking about the match himself. Euigang finally admits that he had considered Ryuchung as a future husband for Yeon, but he wanted to take things slowly and give Yeon more time instead of rushing her into marriage. Hearing this, Grandfather calms down. He says he has watched Ryuchung for a long time and thinks he is an excellent young man. He is skilled, handsome, and although he can be proud and stubborn, Grandfather believes those traits are normal for a martial artist. Most importantly, he believes Ryuchung genuinely treats Yeon well. Grandfather also reveals that after the incident involving the twins and Yeon, he personally asked Ryuchung what had happened. Ryuchung immediately defended Yeon, clearly said the twins were at fault, and showed genuine concern for her well-being. Seeing how sincerely Ryuchung cared for Yeon made Grandfather even more certain that he would be a good husband for her.
Baengri Paehyuk and Baengri Euigang are talking about Yeon. Paehyuk says that Yeon has a serious and dangerous side. He is worried because Yeon sometimes seems violent and has little concern for his own safety. Paehyuk also says that they have been unable to find a proper treatment for Yeon’s condition. Euigang feels guilty and apologizes for making his father worry. Paehyuk tells Euigang that he should think carefully about what is best for Yeon. He also asks whether Euigang still plans to hide the truth about Yeon’s mother from him. Euigang does not answer. Later, Euigang talks with Baengri Euimook about Yeon’s future. Euimook believes that Yeon should marry someone from the Namgoong clan because such a marriage would create a strong alliance between the two families. He suggests that Yeon’s marriage could benefit the Baengri clan. Euigang is not comfortable with this idea. He questions why Euimook wants to arrange Yeon’s marriage so strongly. Euimook even jokes that Euigang does not want Yeon to marry anyone else because he might be jealous. Euigang says that the decision should not be his alone and mentions Riri as a possible concern. During their conversation, Namgoong Ryuchung suddenly appears. Euigang becomes nervous because Ryuchung is connected to the Namgoong clan. Euigang and Euimook leave together, while Ryuchung notices that something seems strange about their behavior.

Spoiler!
Yeon is upset and confused about all the marriage discussions. She remembers that her grandfather has been trying to arrange things with Namgoong Ryuchung. She tells her grandfather that she has no intention of getting married yet, but he does not take her words seriously and treats them like a childish complaint. Yeon becomes worried that her grandfather may eventually decide her marriage without listening to her. She also worries about what will happen if she refuses the marriage after everything has already been arranged. She feels that she has very little time left to change the situation. At the end, someone tells Yeon that she has a visitor. When she asks who it is, she is told that the head of the Jaegal clan has come to see her. This suggests that another important person or family may become involved in Yeon’s situation. Yeon tells Jaegal Hwamu that the Namgoong clan has proposed a marriage to her. She feels embarrassed and struggles to say it. Jaegal is surprised because Yeon is only eleven years old. However, he explains that the Namgoong clan is a strong and respected family, so marrying into them could strengthen their family’s position in the Martial Alliance. Yeon asks whether Jaegal really thinks she should get married. He explains that marriages between powerful families can create stronger alliances and prevent conflicts. Although Yeon understands his reasoning, she does not like the idea of marriage and has been trying not to think about it. Yeon then learns that Jaegal’s family had once considered marrying him to Baengri Ri. However, the marriage never happened because Jaegal did not want it. His grandmother and Uncle Euimook eventually gave up on the idea. This makes Yeon realize that Jaegal also understands what it is like to have other people decide who you should marry. Later, Jaegal confesses that he has feelings for Yeon. He says that he wants her to be happy, even if she marries someone else. However, he admits that he wishes she would not get married. Yeon is surprised because she had not realized that Jaegal cared about her romantically. A few days later, Yeon visits the Imperial Physician and talks about Jaegal's confession. The physician, Seok Gayak, already seems to know what happened and teases Yeon about it. Yeon becomes embarrassed that someone else knows about her situation. The next day, Yeon meets Namgoong Ryuchung at the White Sword Squad's training grounds. He asks if she is feeling better because he heard that she had visited the Imperial Physician. While talking to him, Yeon notices how handsome he is and wonders what kind of person he would want to marry. Yeon asks Ryuchung who he would marry if he had a choice. Ryuchung answers that he would follow his parents' wishes when it comes to marriage. This surprises and worries Yeon because she had hoped he might refuse the arranged marriage. Yeon realizes that her plan could fail if Ryuchung is willing to obey his parents. She also remembers that her marriage to Ryuchung had never happened before mainly because he did not want it. Now she is worried that things may be different this time.
Namgoong Ryuchung becomes embarrassed and steps back with red cheeks. Yeon grabs his wrist and asks what is wrong. When Seo Haryeong and Yayul come over, they ask what the two were talking about. Yayul tells Yeon to let go of Ryuchung’s hand. Seo Haryeong notices that Yeon is the one holding Ryuchung’s hand. Ryuchung then firmly tells Yeon to let go. Yeon releases him, and Ryuchung walks back to the middle of the training area. After training, everyone is tired and hot. Seo Haryeong says she is sweating because she had to spar with Ryuchung and says she hates fighting in the summer. Yeon laughs because it is clear that Yayul had been forced to spar with Haryeong and did not enjoy it. Then Jinjin brings cold ice water for everyone. While Seo Haryeong is drinking, Yeon suddenly realizes that he wants to talk to her. He calls her name and tells her, “I need to talk to you.”
