@Maku It is later revealed, in the novel, that she too was shunned once by her father because of some mishap which is when she realised that women are cherished only until they are useful. So far, yes, she hasn't been mistreated, but you've JUST met the character, which is why we don't know anything about her other than what Maxi says.
