Still doesn't make any sense why he signed the contract... can anyone explain? I get that MC said it was signed to protect her but why did she need protecting? Isnt the duke the strongest in the empire? How is the strongest in the empire unable to protected the two he loves the most that he "needs" to make a contract with the emperor to become his dog? The duke could've protected them both by first not signing the contract and second kill the emperor... like am i wrong? why are you signing a contract to trap yourself... needs more explaining..
