No matter how many times you see an animal die, you can never get used to it. Whether it was my 1st patient or 20th, I still cry just the same. I put on a brave face when comforting the owners, but afterwards I just break down.
But there's always more animals to save so you can't let yourself be buried in sadness for long. But once you get home from another busy day , it'll just hit you again. Truly never an easy process.
