Yeah, at first I also hate him for ruining uke life but it's not too late to know he truly loves uke and has a little soft side now he realized his mistakes and wishes them a happy life that's a turning point where I come to knew he's not too bad...I like the way the author didn't turns him into a great dominant villain otherwise this manga will turn into one of the toxic relationship manga where uke and seme got hurt, separated, and forcefully live a miserable life same as you said...argh...I can't imagine only it gives me headache 
this type of character development is what I would like to see the most in every manga...
