Omg this made me realize that it's impossible to tell in a paragraph what will happen because fr a lot happens after this wedding arc and so many things change between the main couple dynamics that I don't want to say too much. Pei zheng doesn't die though, it's a happy ending. Throughout the novel he becomes better lil by lil, still possessive but he would rather do anythinggg than be cruel to Yier and lose him again, so It's nice to see him trying to pamper Yier and changing ways to make him happy. they get married and have a cute happy family of three, and they lowkey help the two side couples to stay together too (Jubai - Chengfeng and Tang- Yue)

@Hornycat some bl novels have this possibility, they are tagged as mpreg. For this novel, the pregnancy was explained as ChangYi being from a foreign barbarian tribe where some of the males have a special constitution that allows it. Idk if the manhua will follow the novel on this though, maybe they will change it a lil, because i don't see mpreg tags on the manhua. But their kid is very cute, clingy to his dads specially towards Pei Zheng and smart like him too, would be cute to see him 😆

@Pipotito I would have loved it if this didn't happen for the ending. He doesn't deserve redemption and the white haired on deserves to be free

@Jack samee, I thought that too back then while reading these chapters and later took me a long time to be ok with him but yes Pei Zheng did a great job in becoming better. He was very sincere and affectionate taking care of Chang Yi, I even found myself later rooting for him 😆 it's hard to see him like that right now atp though, it's understandable.
