No he doesn't. He ends up shot but all it shows is Matthew holding him and yelling. There's a note that says there will be another season and on Twitter the author said that they will be coming back. There's been an update saying the comeback has been postponed due to issues with agency but if you've seen the actual ending, no Jin doesn't just die.
