@aasegovia88 Not even close tbh.. Cheon still has empathy and a moral code. He hates betrayal, hypocrisy, and the abuse of power, and he kills mainly out of necessity, revenge, or survival. Gu Changge on the other hand, has none of that at all, he has no empathy, no moral boundaries, and no hesitation in manipulating, betraying, or mentally destroying others purely for his own benefit or amusement. Everything Cheon despises deception, exploitation, emotional cruelty defines Changge’s personality. Cheon is just a dark anti-hero, a damaged child shaped by a cruel world, while Gu Changge is something else entirely, a fully self-aware, deliberate INCARNATION of evil. Changge have NO comparaison, he's just an evil abomination 💀, and keep that in mind, light novel Changge is EVVEEEENNN worse.. the author is just a psycho.😅 I like some of his shots in this chapter, he kinda look like him which is also why you said he went full Changge mode.
@aasegovia88 Gu Changge cares about nothing but himself and his sister to a lesser degree. This MC cares about people, the world and his principles, very often at the expense of himself.
They are absolute and complete opposites and only the casual observer believes that the cruelty of both to be the same.
This is exactly the problem talked about in this chapter. The so-called "righteous" sects are full of rot and hypocrisy but they spend all of their effort on the appearence of righteousness as opposed to the substance of it. The MC sees the same corruption in both the "demonic" and the "righteous" sects.
@excaliburjak I literally have his picture as my pfp lmao. 😅 Like I said about Changge, he’s in a league of his own, but it’s still interesting to talk about Cheon Ma because he is fundamentally different from Yeo Woon. Cheon Ma is a true tyrant who rules through fear, domination, and absolute authority, he lacks empathy, enforces obedience through violence, and seeks control rather than survival, which makes him far closer to a villain than to an antihero. Yeo Woon, by contrast, still acts within a personal moral code shaped by necessity, loyalty, and trauma, not ideology tho. Cheon Ma and Yeo Woon remind me of Madara and Obito, for example: one consciously chooses domination and imposes his vision on the world, while the other is a broken individual reacting to a cruel system rather than trying to rule it. Cheon Ma = Tyranny ( domination, rule through fear, he values loyalty and can recognize skill and courage.) Cheon Yeo Woon = Survival (reactive violence, pragmatism, broken but still human, still have empathy and can recognize the value of others). Gu Changge = 💀
@Vanitas personally I like. Jin Woon-Hwi from absolute sword sense, he more human than these 2 and doesn't have a grand ambition or anything, just reacts to what happens to him; just enough to survive and not be looked down upon even when there are far more powerful ppl in the world
@aasegovia88 Gu is one of the worst being portray by Main character I wonder who tf is he before being isekai. He has brain, power, connections, and everythings he wished for. Compare to that heavenly demon is like the saint. If you want to use manipulatin in irl learn from him.
