Emperor alternatives are awful for everyone, specially the people of the kingdom, while for Lombardy family we have good and trustworthy ones. Like Tia, her dad, her aunt. We all like that tia is strong and I don't mean drop her dreams for her hubby's. I mean reach her dreams of protecting them all through a different path. Empress is pretty powerful as well

@CrowellA Shes powerful, but legally speaking, she wouldn't be able to have much involvement in Lombardis affairs as empress, and would be expected to put the crown first. She doesnt want to just protect them and she wants them to thrive, and she wouldn't have much influence to do that as purely an empress.
Moreover, the matter of succession is also an issue. If Tias an empress, the twins have no interest, and Laranne is married in the east, then after Gallahan dies the position would go to either Bellesac or his other cousin regardless. The only way around is if Tia has more than one child, and even with that it could cause issues due to the age difference and Grandpa likely being out of the picture by that point. Honestly, the best way to achieve her goal is to become the head of the house. She can do a lot more for her family that way than as an empress.
