@AHMED X yeah but he didn't need to threaten them with the sect leaders bad mood. All he had to say was some variation of

"you just say my son kill the 4 of the 5 devine dragons with our sect only having 1 do you really want to join the losing side?"

@Pharaoh Atem what I believe is that he didn't want to make himself the bad guy he wants to throw the blame to the sect leader bad mood

@AHMED X yeah but there are plenty of subtle ways to remind someone that they only have one visible choice. Or to remind them that the other side has no chance at all. He** he could of just had his son pop out and proudly declare he would destroy the sect leaders and anyone who sides with him like a existed kids bragging to his dad. It would look innocent enough if not absolutely Terrifying for everyone else.
