@Fujo its not that, its that he KNEW that ryuskei or smth was equally obessed with ai, he knew that him seeing their toothbrushes would trigger something because the thing is, they were dating SECRETLY. no one knew but the meer implication of them being in a relationship would drive ryuuskei insane. dont forget, both of them were OBESSED with ai. to the point of KILLING HER, mind you.
