Bro these people are the most gullible people I've ever seen in a manhwa like bro she was literally talking sh** about Ariadne's dress tearing on "purpose" because Ariadne "wants" attention from the prince (because she, Ariadne's "sister", is flat asf clearly) and fcking wore the same color as her. Like, as they can CLEARLY see, they don't have a "great" relationship together so why would Ariadne even want them to "match" with each other.. G** her sister's such a attention seeking mf I don't even remember her ugly a**'s name bro

YES EXACTLY!
How tf do they change opinions faster than the speed of light. They dont even think.

I said it in a previous comment, but they likely arent gullible. This is high society in an era where your standing determines nearly everything. Where everyone wants to be on the winning side but very few are willing to spearhead anything. Its why they mostly just reacted during the temple scene until Ariadne stepped up, its why many made fun of her during the tea party scene until the queen spoke up, and its why they trash talked her with Isabella until Alfonse and later Julia spoke up. They're both capable and willing to think for themselves, thats incredibly obvious, they simply arent willing to voice those thoughts until someone else does because its a gamble: Youre risking your reputation for an opinion and if its not a popular one, then the only one who deals with the fallout is you. Theyre still shi*** people, but I wouldnt consider them lacking in thought.

Yes, I totally agree! But still, they are shi*** a** people. Considering that they would've literally left or talked sh** about Ariadne just for a dress ripping, and I know, high society/the rank you have in society makes it harder to speak up. But, they could've atleast helped her or try to comfort her (well, we don't know if they'll comfort her YET) but at the same time the prince took her away so they couldn't go with them, but they could've atleast refrained from saying such things. Even if the girl (Ariadne's sister) was gossiping about her they could've atleast have been just a little, atleast 1% nicer in any way. Like for instance, "Yeah, I can't believe her dress ripped!..." "Poor girl.." "Yeah! Maybe she did do it for attention, but..." "Yes..! I agree..." "I feel sorry for the girl..", and so on. Also, I don't wanna defend Izabella, but da**, they were really gonna leave both of them just for a breast pocket.. Ngl people were fake asf, and my reasoning, is that clearly they don't wanna lose face, so they'll try and fit in. But, in the past chapters you can clearly see Izabella (finally remembered her name) lying n shi, and clearly Ariadne didn't have a rep at the time so they were willing to listen to Izabella even if she was in the wrong, including her so-called mom. Even if Izabella was wrong, caught red handed, or embarrassed, most people still believed her. And, even if Izabella's friends (most likely) knew that Izabella was in the wrong, they'd defend her anyways. Then, when Ariadne started to gain a reputation, people finally started to believe in her more. And as Ariadne spoke her thoughts more, she gained a little reputation. Take note that I said most and that I know high society is mostly stopping them from speaking their thoughts. I'm just saying, btw. But, I think both of our points are valid!
