This makes me smile. Not the part about Na-Kyum (poor baby needs more comfort from Seungho, love their blanket scenes).
No, the part when sh** starts to unravel.
From the beginning, we've seen Seungho as this anti-hero, callous and ruthless, very calculated. We know he has a short temper and a thin line of patience, but it's his silence that's unnerving cos that guy is plotting. He makes due to his words, he's not all talk. That's what I like about his character or how Byeonduk has created him.
But as we continue, we see the reason for his actions. I am not excusing his behaviour as a lot of it is very wrong. But we know the reason behind his madness. His dad has greatly traumatised this boy and of course, he continues to rebel even when he knows he could be disowned at any moment.
We wonder why it would take so long for his dad to do anything, why had he not done anything and basically letting Seungho get away with murder. We could say, well, Seungho is his first born son so he probably has more leniency on him. The fact that he is his first son, that could mostly be the reason.
But no.
This mother of all that is good has leverage on his abusers and it just makes me smile.
Whatever was in those documents not only took down his dad but also Lord Song. They were forced to leave their post but it also has Seungho set for life. Cos he also took his dad's wealth, the house, his title.
He didn't leave unscathed, but he did leave with enough power.
This is why I love Seungho. This guy is one freaking monster.
Cheers to him. Cheers to Byeonduk, honestly.
your mind is asking for my love and you just need to hear it...
(I'm very opinionated and will rant so if you've seen my comments, I'm sure you'll see me more)
