Comment on ChapterEternal Contract - Season.2 Chapter 64

while most people indeed usually don't care about flashbacks, I do feel that it has been kinda dragging along. Since heron hasn't appeared yet it will probably take a well till we get to the present as well (I've read my fair shares of flashbacks and have been 50/50 either enjoying or just don't liking them ... sadly, despite this being one of me favorite stories, if und myself struggling to read this)

my biggest issue is that brian has been somewhat of a source of insecurity for Ian - which doesn't help the fact that sol, who is now our MCs love interest, was just too fond of Brian even in the present. I'm guessing sol's hands were bound, but he sadly couldn't lessen Ian's fears at all.

One thing that keeps holding me back as well is that to me, Brian is still not Ian. Not sure how this might change in the future though, but I just don't like reading such an important part of sol's life with another WHILE he has someone in the present, who's just like the same person. It's hard to explain haha'

I still read this and what can I say, it's not like I'm particularly enjoying it but I do appreciate the background and motives of the characters. Especially since sol has become such a different person. I agree that some people are voicing their thoughts in a rather rude way but I dont mind people just saying that they miss ian ... I mean it's totally understandable!

@BAHAHAHAHAHAHA everyone in this comment section do be writing a paragraph bro 😭
@jingrenheng My opinion may be the same as you are, like I don't care about Brian, he's all in the past. I care about Ian. I mean, yeah, they are the same soul, but not and never will be the same person even if he gets his memory or some stupid stuff. I mean, I don't know if that makes sense but I still feel like Ian and Brian are both different despite having the same soul and looking at least a little bit, I don't know, identical? Tbh I don't see Ian on Brian that much. There might be some instanct I saw Ian on Brian, but not much. I still see them both as different person. Ian is Ian, Brian is Brian. I'm sorry I don't really understand the story.

And the fact that Sol really cherish and love Brian irk me a little bit, like it slightly annoyed me. We all know that the real reason Sol reached out to Ian was because of Brian, or he knew that Ian and Brian is the same soul. And there is this chapter where Sol said that Ian thinks Sol is using him as replacement for Brian. I somehow kinda felt like that too whenever I read this back to the past thingy. I want Sol to see Ian as Ian and not because Brian's soul is in him. Like it's kinda complicated. And I'm overthinking this a lot especially because of what Ian dreamed about meeting Brian.

But tbh, if Sol is really using Ian as replacement to Brian, I'd rather Ian go with Brixton. Because I know that in any lifetime, alive or not, Sol will continue to choose Brian, and not anyone even if they have Brian soul. And come on, even in the present time, the only reason why Sol have Ian with his side is because he wanted him to finally recover his memories as Brian. He's waiting for it. Just accept Ian as Ian, da** it!

Like tbh, i want to see Ian. I don't care about how Brian died, he died that's all I need to know. Sorry if I sound a little mean, btw.
@Kaykay  i agree with ur opinion! and honestly, there isn't much to understand about their dynamic. And as you said, Brian is Brian and Ian is Ian - knowing than sol - as you said - approached Ian for that sole reason and continued to let him feel
anxious about that just rubs me the wrong way as well. Remember the scene where Ian asked him that he'd be retained if it weren't for him that he's the reincarnation of Ian? I hated that sol didn't just lie and said "no". But he didn't 💀

The author DEFINETLY intended for sol to be biased to Brian - probably to max out Ian's suffering haha' otherwise it would be just bad writing I believe. Cuz Brian has been nothing but dismissing Ian for who Ian is, for his past and everything he has been struggling and fought for ...
