Though, I'll give a brief overview. So Colton and Jinwoo met 9 years ago, when Colton's dad kicked him out after Colton decided to dominate him with his pheromone for hurting Dylan (the dad's lover and Della's omega father). He was really broken so he came to his friends bar to drink the sorrows away. Here he meets a much younger and newly traumatised Jinwoo. Jinwoo just broke up with his ex and was already beginning to spiral into his self loathing and was just on the verge of a slump. They meet and just to forget all his worries, Jinwoo triggers Colton, knowing that Colton wants some release too, that Colton wants to put his mind off his troubles too. They fu**. Ofc. And then Jinwoo disappears for a while. Jinwoo doesn't want to remember what happened probably because (this is my theory) he felt like he was leaving his past behind and Colton was where he found a new beginning. Signified by him (an Alpha) bottoming for the first time, crude, but I feel quite effective.
After that they meet at an exhibition, where Jinwoo is the main star, probably 4 years later. Colton is just an apprentice right now and they have a little chit chat about how Jinwoo shut his professor up for taking credit of his work.
(Another very important event, because after this Jinwoo hit his slump, Colton was overwhelmed by his daddy issues and drowned in his hatred for hiw father. So where everything started going under for both of them. And that in the moment they shared a cigarette was the only peace they could find, after that, they were both flooded with their traumas.)

(Signifying how Colton is desperate for help and wants to relieve himself from his daddy issues, to find a partner who understands and supports him).
Jinwoo decides to make a pact, that they will fu** for as long as Jinwoo prepares for the exhibition.
(Signifying Jinwoo's need to shut his mind up, to make his mind forcefully be controlled, because he tries bdsm for the first time).
This is a great mirroring of their personalities. That even when he wants to hire/nominate Jinwoo, Colton is a little wary that maybe Jinwoo will drop out midway. So Colton's afraid of trusting people with strong facades and feels the need to actually embarass them, because he couldn't do that to his father so he does it to Jinwoo, in bed. Surprise, surprise, he just needed someone as strong and emotionally unavailable as his father to tell him that he was not bad, that people like this aren't bad, that he can trust people and his father was the only piece of sh**.

Though in this season, Colton tries to ease into Jinwoo's life, to help him with whatever mental turmoil he is suffering through. But Jinwoo hates himself and he hates how easily he can discard people so he prefers to live alone, to have relationships with no strings attatched, no need for emotional validation because that makes it easier to stop with it. Here, in this chapter, Jinwoo comes to this bar again, and he drinks and leaves. But he drinks because he thinks that Colton removed his name from the exhibition line up and added Della. He feels like Colton discarded him because he doesn't trust him. So Jinwoo gives up too. He will break all his work and go back into his pit of self loathing with the 'Everyone hates me' narrative and that he is better alone.
