@into psychopaths well the end is a tragedy in the novel unless the manhwa is changed so here is the spoiler and you better have a dolid heart
Spoiler!
Spoiler texThe MC was sent to the battlefield as a child as a cruel joke by the duke, and he vetoed his loving family's attempts to get him back. MC didn't know this, and believed that his family hated him and wanted him dead, so when he came back from the war with a crazy split-persona, he killed his parents. His main persona doesn't remember this, so he continued to resent his brother instead, because he believed that he was sent to the battlefield in place of him.
Said brother just wants to protect the MC, knowing that he's not fully responsible for his actions, so he acts like the duke's enforcer to intercept any attempts on his brother's life. Later he sacrifices himself to save the MC's life, and the shock causes his two personae to merge, at which point he goes on a killing spree, murdering both the duke, the king, the demon king, and everyone else who gets in his way, then he commits suicide... and even then, the personification of death tells him he fuc*** up so badly and accumulated so much bad karma, he'll have to keep suffering through his reincarnations.
Then, on top of all that, MC also makes a deal by sacrificing his eyes (meaning he'd be blind in all following reincarnations) just to ease some of his brother's karma, and then the story ends. No after-stories, no nothing. Just pointless death, senseless suffering, and a depressing note for everything to end on.t.
