@melian6 they're banishing Vlad because he's unpredictable and is most likely to be manipulated due to his personality by the Bishop.
Vlad is basically being sent on a long term mission away from Soara under the pretext of banishment.
Joseph can also use the "banishment" as a rebuttal if the church demands him to be punished for killing black bear.
@melian6

Because his enemies will use any dirty trick in the book to get him in trouble and he will never hesitate to do what is right and only think about the cost afterwards. I'm not saying that is wrong just that it makes him an easy target for evil schemes. And if he gets in trouble again immediately after one trial ends he will look like the problem and it might undo the goodwill his passing the first trial with that blinding light generated.

Although every single one of his actions up until now have perfectly followed the Swordsman's code they talked briefly about (slaying evil, protecting the weak/children) so I suspect in the future when the corrupt members of the church try something again it will be whatever power governs the swordsmen that will tell them to stfu.

So, church, the dragon hunter family ( MC lookalike people), central factions, and several factions eyes are on MC. If MC continues staying at one place then as the hyaena will gather to kill him as he is still new born lion. He needs to grow more stronger and powerful so that hyaenas fangs won't bare at him..
