I hate stories like this. A parent who had abandoned a child and then will show love when the kid tries everything to get love. At the end we are suppose to see him as a doting parent who cared but didn't show it.

Like, he didn't give her a name, ignored her existence to the point even maids mistreat her, calls her "a thing".
Like how are we supposed to care about garbage that not even the trash collectors will touch?
