@Titen lol you should actually research Queen Elizabeth 🤣 she ruled during a time where the people revolting and religious overthrowing monarchies was an everyday event. She held on to her seat by pulling back on all of that cr** and, instead, going to Shakespeare's plays, which was her ACTUAL favorite past time. The only times England went to war during her reign, she was forced into it and it was more for optics than anything. It wasn't until the Spanish Armada threatened English supremecy that she actually had to get serious and allowed the entire english fleet to protect their trade lanes, of which they sunk the entire Spanish Armada to the sea floor. She tried her best not to interfere with anything, and that allowed the english PEOPLE to establish a sense of pride and identity in their country... cuz... you know... they got to make choices for once?
