I'd not only be pïssed but also would be close to giving up, like tf? I go out for a little while, and not only my brother becomes The Man, but also took my people that I spent years getting into my faction, in just few months at that...I can't even imagine the feeling of helplessness and betrayal he must've felt, that he can't even to anything about except try to get them back again, knowing the futility.
Tbh, it doesn't look like he's particularly interested in the learder's seat. It seems more like the desire to survive instead, and becoming the leader looked like the only way.
But, now that he has options, I wonder if he'll side with his brother too 🤔. He did seem like a smart character who can weigh pros and cons. He didn't look like a snake, unlike that golden toad bïtch.

@TheSimpQueen well said,Golden toad can eat sht.. I guess we know for sure he won't kill the older brother, but i don't necessarily see him fully submitting either.. I wonder how it'll turn out

Also, even if it was the brother that made the other guy do it, you have to keep in mind that other than the MC, it's the 'It's them or me' mentality for everyone else.
To them, it's ' if I don't become the leader, I will be kïlled by my brother who succeeds. ', because that's all they know (because that's how it's always been). It's only the MC who's thinking the other way.
