Does this mean these concubines were just the spouses of the past Padishah? So he has to still take care of them even after the former Padishah is

@Hisbootlicker Yep, right on the money. He spared them for his mama, after she told him she wished he had never been born.... Mother of the year, that one. She couldn't even protect him as a child... Couldn't even give him a safe space to rest his little head, and wonders why he feels the need to get rid of 'everybody' to protect them.... Then feels more pity for the dead co-wife than for her completely damaged and heart-sick baby.

@Aimz I expected as much. I still think shuraka has enough power to send them all away and still give them a proper life to live even if it's destroying their reputation. He has no other business with them but at least he makes it obvious what he needs to the concubines personally pepe sticker
@Hisbootlicker He does indeed. But that kid loves his mom, and he wants to keep her happy so he left the Harem intact for her. Don't you remember how devistated he was when she got upset with him? The only person in the palace that he loved and wanted to protect was his mom, so now he just wants her to be happy. Even if it means keeping the woman that may one day come for his throne....
