@miss delulu so basically the ml got stabbed while trying to save the mc and now he is in the hospital. Meanwhile we got to see a past memory regarding the mc - him and his mom were planning to run away from his abusive father...but his father used carbon monoxide in their house to kill them along with himself. But his mom protected him by covering his mouth so that he wouldn't inhale the gas, and so the mc survived even tho he was hospitalized too but his mother died - his father survived too. And when that cop(with scar in his face) visited the hospital they were in for investigation, the mc saw him and asked for help and told him how his father wanted to kill them, but since he was just a 6 years old kid - the police force didn't take him seriously. And so that cop came to visit the mc again for forgiveness to ignore his testimony and leave him behind. And this cop who we see in the last panel was searching for that case and found out.
