Beating is norm in Seo-an's household it seems but he shouldn't have hit Woowon. He didn't deserve that after Seo-an made him feel the guilt. He says "I'll play along with your nonsense"; could have meant in a joking/lighter sense but still sounded as if dismissing Woowon's worries.
He needs to work on it, at least they communicated.
