basically some mysterious force makes of of the sacred beasts forget everything and all the chosen ones have to fight it and touch its weakness (or something). And if even one of them dies it would start a war between the sacred beasts and in the end everyone will probably die. 

oh. And the chosen ones can use their partners power. But their partner cannon help them in any way, shape, or form
