IMAGINE the ONLY class that could cast AoE debuffs and soft crowd control is considered unneeded in a party that goes to endgame content like dungeons/raids. When he's gone, people will start realizing his contributions  won't they?

No healer doe, if i have to choose between healer and debuff id choose healer, depends on rId content tho.

Healers or for trash players, it all about the dps. You learn better when you don't use a healer

@Nameless422 People who prefere white mage over dark mage probably never experienced pain. I had rather got a black mage debuffing crazy ennemies so we can fight easily without struggling much than having a white mage healing crazy damage on my face. Anyway, people telling he does nothing are just blind. Does they think his party can fight so easily without him ? Debuff are just insane. And as Fernandi stated, playing without a healer learn you to be skilled and not waiting on healer to adapt to your mistake.
@AnT see the thing is, you don't need a healer if you are able to take down a boss in less than 2 minutes with minor injuries. Those minor injuries can be handled with porions and whatnot. You need a healer for a prolongued fight, you need a debuffer to nuke your target. Sometimes, if an enemy is string enough, he can one-shot you despite all the buffs you have on you. If the healer is unable to ressurect you, then you are done for. One strike and the boss kills the so called "hero". That is why a debuffer is important. If the debuffer can reduce the resistances, defences, and stat effects of the enemy enough for difference in stats to not matter, a beginner part can easily take down an endgame boss. See, having 100 agility will make the boss strong, but imagine the debuffer in your party casts a curse that increases the weight twofold for every point of agility the boss has. Suddeny the boss' body wieghs 100% times more despite having all that agi. The boss who is sued to moving in his normal weight is unable to handle the extra weight and becomes sluggish, but the thing is, it us usually tenfold or twentyfold increase not a twofold increase. A good debuffer will cast curses upon curses, status effects upon status effects, so that the enemy has no choice bu to accept its death at the hands of a a swordsman or other weapon weilder who is far inferior to itself.
@Darknezz but you see, what if the healer can also cast tons of buffs that let you glide through the enemy defences and easily take them down, without a healer you can't even do sustainable damage cause you need to avoid every bit of damage coming to you, teams that have healers have that benefit to just take small damage and only care about big attacks. Let say debuffer make enemy weaker, but without a sustain, the team would have to be more careful of any damage so their output would be less so enemy= 75%(debuffed) vs Team = 90% (focused on defense) but healer team enemy is at 100% but your team could perform at 120% (full output without much care of damage sustained) SO, which is better?
@Sol ok. If the Debuffer in your team can essentially reduce the enemy's damage to 0, would you still need a healer? If the Debuffer in your team can supress the enemy's stats to make them 0 for the duration of the fight, then there would be no damage. Plain and simple.
@Darknezz then what if the buffer can buff the team to 10 times the output, what if the healer could buff the hero to 100% damage reduction. Put some logical similarities instead of just go to the extreme end. The merit of a debuffer is apparent if you can get enough of them until the healers can't dispel all the debuff . Remember Most games have the spell dispell for dispelling debuffs and even some monster is immune to debuff
@Sol same effect, isn't it? I used to play BDO with a Australian players who played a played the Sorceress class. That guy literally debuffed a boss so much that the damage the boss did barely managed to reduce 2% of our entire HP, status effects and all. That is the advantage with a debuffer. Unlike a buffer who is dependant on the manapool to maintain buffs, a debuffer will cast a one-time manacost spell that persists for a set duration. That is more effective, isn't it?
@Darknezz bruh BDO can literally be be soloed easily, i don't think you needed any teammates to clear a dungeon IT DOESN'T HAVE BOSSES IN THE NORMAL SENSE, i don't think it is equivalent to games that Requires teamwork to beat the games its oranges and Pears. why don't you compare it to WoW or any other traditional mmo which actually required teamwork to beat. I love debuff build , i played soul sacrifice for far too long until i would only use flies to defeat bosses easily, but for a team comp, or even pvp nah healers got way more more value.
