He's a selfish pick isn't he ? The kid is happy and cared for, obviously well loved , and he's planning to sna*** it back as if it's a toy. Sna*** it back and take it into harms way, when he was incapable of protecting her in the first place. Yeah fine he's a victim of the conspiracy too, but he did not have ones single thought about what was best for the child. Nor worry about what she'd gone through. He's just been told she was in abject misery before she was adopted. Where's the gratitude that this man has taken in and cared for his child?
@otterlyanylitical exactly. And he even dares to THINK of taking the FL back to the royal family now lmao. I'd honestly let go of just a little amount of hate I have towards the emperor if he actually took things into his own hands, built up power, overthrew the empress and helped the princess walk on the right path. If he'd done that, I'd leave a little bit of hate. But no. He hasn't done no such things. He's only been searching for the FL in secret for 6 years man. 6 years. He was powerless from before so that the current empress forced the emperor to marry her AND the fact that he still hasn't gotten powerful enough in all those years just shows his incompetence. Sure it might've been hard to search because the empress was keeping guard but the emperor hadn't shown any improvement in the search for the FL in all those years. Not even one clue was found. And now that he's FINALLY found the FL, he's thinking of separating her from her found family without an ounce of understanding. I have the feeling that the FL won't go back with the emperor. As much as the emperor might find it hard to accept, I really hope he grows some brain and accepts the fl's choice.
@Lhei Zhell I did know, thus is referring to the present so far in this life he hasn't been brainwashed, and he's a selfish pr***, so under brain washing he'd be even worse. In this life he's a poor excuse for a father. He can't protect her, he is willing to put her in danger , rather than leave her where she's safe cared for and happy. He knows exactly who would try to harm the child and is doing nothing.
@Jiang Sha Wei honestly I think he hasn't found her because he was looking for a child with power. When she didn't have it he treated her badly and I don't think that was all brain washing. Some of that was him. His love and affection is tied to that child having power, the idea that she didn't have it never occurred to him. He sensed power , now he wants her and is looking in earnest. When he couldn't sense it he didn't exactly try very hard and believed she was dead like he'd been told.
