I wonder if they'll actually tackle the slavery in this story or just free a couple of useful slaves and call it a day. I've noticed in most Manhwas, they'll say 'oh no, slavery' and complain about the class system but they don't really do much about it since the main characters benefit from it at the end of the day cause they're usually a duchess or princess or some fallen noble that gets their power back.

according to a commenter on Reddit, eventually the ML and FL try to dismantle to slave trade. It kind of points out the hypocrisy in other manhuas. At one point the ML spends a ton of gold to free slaves, but then has a huge crisis when he realized that by paying the slavers he has now contributed to making it a profitable industry, and that true change can't be created that way.
