I'm disappointed in Jinx. I love boxing , I like MMA and Ashita No Joe is such a great story and beautiful tragedy that tells the life of the boxer so perfectly well. I think Ashita No Joe has set my standards so high , that I find Jinx very lacking in terms of writting and character depth. And I wish the doctor was a boxer or MMA fighter instead . That would be way more compelling . Both of them as boxers or MMA fighters, to rivals, and then becoming a couple as the story progressed would be way better in my opinion. Ashita No Joe is a masterpiece and if you've watched it or read it , you'll know exactly where I'm coming from. I'm dropping this series . I liked their original work BJ Alex , so it's unfortunate that I don't like this series . I wanted to like this series because it had MMA involved and I do like BL . And trust me I tried giving this series a chance . I've read it. It just doesn't hold up well. I found a sports series that's way better than Jinx in terms of writting ,character development , and human drama. That series is Ashita No Joe. Ashita No Joe is a boxing series you all must see for yourself. It's a timeless classic . And Jinx lacks the heart and soul . Ashita No Joe has heart and soul . Ashita No Joe is my favorite Anime and Manga series of all time next to Vinland Saga. Hajime No Ippo is pretty good too. I'm a huge fan of boxing so boxing is my favorite sport. But I do like some MMA from time to time.
