@GoFuCkYoUrSeLf they go hand in hand with the heat/rut cycles. Marking can only happen during heat/rut cycles to work. Normally both the alpha needs to be in a rut and the omega needs to be in heat. Marking is claiming your omega by biting the back of the neck. It like chemically or instinctively binds the alpha and omega together. It also changes the pheromones of both parties by having both of them only able to smell eachothers pheromones and/or both parties become eachother's ride or die. Knotting happens when an alpha is in a rut. It is when the di** gets bigger to the point it is hard to pull out. This helps the omega get pregnant when the alpha cu**.
